Expression of interest to be a Lighthouse School.
Rose Bay Secondary College: Sydney Region. It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change.

The following expression of interest outlines our suitability to be chosen as a Lighthouse school to undertake and continue our already established Action learning projects particularly established for teachers 1:1 pedagogy to underpin the Education Revolution for digital learning in our school. The commitment and enthusiasm for this project is high across all KLAs. The school journey has been documented on our school wiki. We have established strong leadership in the leading quality teaching utilizing the 1;1 and the Notebooks.
· Established networks across other schools to share and serve professional learning needs. elearning communities.
A number of links have been established across schools. Rose Bay SC Tech team has held 2 video conferences recently to establish links, to improve implementation of the #DER and professional learning for quality teaching. We are committed to sharing our journey. The school staff in particular the champion ‘Learn4RBSC’ tech teams are willing and committed to sharing with community schools via video conference, hosting visitors and our team visiting other schools.
· Connection to Higher Education and the informing of emerging technologies.
Established links to UTS research through the Education Masters program with Students coming to speak at SDD about emerging technologies and social media and networking to improve deep learning and intellectual dialogue. The research documents the value of elearning communities to improve learning.

· Established Tech Team operating in the school to fulfill the professional learning needs of the DER initiative.
A group of staff have collaborated & establishing learning journeys, utilizing action learning processes for 1:1. This is in early stages, although team members have established their PLN and their individual project ideas to implement quality teaching and learning utilizing the Notebooks.
· Transparent collaboration of process established in the school to address the professional learning needs for our teaching staff.
Leadership of the implementation has been established and the process of collaboration, team building has been established in a whole school wikispace

Sharing of projects and learning, in Professional Learning Teams.
Term 3.
School Development Day; Whole school Quality teaching using a Technology Focus engaging students.
1.Sharing projects with whole school teams.
2.Individual Professional Learning Goals with a " Guide on the Side", critical buddy, learning coach.
Term 4
Resource management and Professional learning is evaluated.
Proposals of hardware, professional learning are submitted.
Baseline Data is evaluated, recommendations for 2010 are submitted.
